Today we will talk about Maxine Miller, CEO of Black Ink Marketing & Events Solutions Limited, a creative marketing and branding agency from Jamaica.

When asked about one of her biggest business challenges faced, Miller replied that dealing with rejections when approaching an endeavor is probably the hardest one. But being told “no” over the years changed her perspective and allowed her to look for the opportunity behind the initial negative response, converting many times the annoying “no” into a triumphant “yes”.

Finally, as a piece of advice to young women looking to dive into the business world, Maxine recommends to simply turn up every day to work and get things done. People are not interested in what you did before, so you should focus on delivering quality for your customers now. As she says, “I am as good as my last performance”.
